About Beharry Automotive Limited
On the 1st August 1994, B.A.L. was established through the signing of a distributor’s agreement with the Japan Toyota Company. This gave B.A.L. the rights to import new Toyota-branded vehicles with full support from the manufacturer. In 1995, the privately-owned Beharry Automotive Limited, opened its doors to serve the public with a range of cars, SUVs, pickups and industrial vehicles. The service centre located at Industrial Site Ruimveldt became operational in May 1995 providing mechanical, electrical and air conditioning services for all categories of vehicles. A few years later in 2003, Beharry Automotive Limited extended its product line to include tyres namely of brands Kumho and Yokohama.

Beharry Automotive Limited In Guyana
According to a February 2019 Chronicle Newspaper, “Beharry Automotive launched the 2019 model Toyota Rush at the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMRSC), on Thursday, February 14. The versatile seven-seater sports utility vehicle (SUV) is designed for functionality and space, as well as an upgraded lifestyle and affordability. Customers looking for a great deal can purchase from BAL for a price of $5.6M duty-free or $8.6M cash. Sales representative, Dannyram Mohabir, assured that anyone who would like to purchase this vehicle can approach BAL’s automotive department and a package can be arranged to suit their needs. Mohabir explained that the new vehicle has several safety features. The vehicle’s collision safety system includes a sturdy body structure, SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) driver and front passenger airbags, SRS side airbags and SRS curtain shield bags. The vehicle also has stability control and hill start assist control systems, which are provided as standard features. This new Rush also has dual air condition units, located at the front and rear of the vehicle, for the comfort of all passengers on board, as well as a 45-gallon fuel tank. It is economical enough to facilitate approximately five miles of driving with one litre of fuel.”
