FORMATIVE YEARS
In the tight-knit community of Number 72 Village, Ramdial reminisces about his idyllic childhood.
My childhood was one of the best, as I enjoyed playing cricket, swimming and much more. Growing up was awesome as I had lots of friends, and we would enjoy doing everything together.
EDUCATIONAL PURSUITS
Avi, known by many as, attended the Number 68 Nursery School, followed by the Number 68 Primary School. He then went to Tagore Memorial Secondary School, shaping the early years of his life.
His educational journey also included a stint at the Upper Corentyne Industrial Training Centre, where he pursued studies in General Office Administration.
In 2021, Avinash’s life took a transformative turn when he was awarded a scholarship through the Guyana Online Academy of Learning (GOAL) to pursue a photography course.
Successfully completing the course laid the groundwork for Avi to delve deeper into his love for capturing moments through the lens.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Growing up as a child, I would take pictures with a small camera any place and anything. As I grew older, I got the same habit. Last year, on September 1, I did my first photoshoot for a friend, and I put her pictures on my page, and everyone liked it. So, then I decided to do my own Photography.
A pivotal moment for this 28-year-old occurred in September 2022 when he officially launched his photography business, aptly named “Avi’s Photography.”
Some of Avi’s work:
The journey has not been without its ups and downs, but Avi’s determination to deliver the best possible service has set him apart.
While my business is over a year old, people would message me about the prices. The responses have been quite not good, but we are getting there. I did my first Christmas shoot last year, and the response was great.
What makes me stand out is I take pride in doing my job so I can give you the best pictures and do the best. For next year, my pictures will be much better.
As this photographer reflects on his journey, he imparts a valuable piece of advice:
I would like to add never give up on your dream of what you want to become as long you give it your best shot.
As his business develops, the 28-year-old Berbice resident envisions his photography skills reaching new heights in the coming year. He has committed to continuous improvement and artistic growth.
