Alicia Martin, a prominent figure known for her role at the Royalty Dance Ministries International, has recently added another achievement to her list.
Following the success of her debut book, ‘Slay in Purity,’ Martin has launched her second book, titled “Submission, the key to transformation.”

In 2021, Martin, who is a Senior Public Relations Officer, introduced her first book ‘Slay in Purity.” The aim of this book was to encourage individuals to live a life that is honourable to God.
I know everyone wants to win in life, whether it is in marriage, whether it is in family or career, whatever it is, and slay is one word that encourages you to win in every aspect of your, but without compromise. That book focused on sets of lifestyle practices and purity because all inspired by God and some of my life experiences as well.
According to the Guyanese author, the reception and feedback for Slay in Purity were overwhelming.
It has been incredible so far; the response rate has been incredible. I am happy to see persons are starting these conversations in their small groupings, in their social circles – the conversation about purity. Many times persons don’t want to talk about it – they don’t want to talk about the issue of sex outside of marriage and all these things but this book Slay in Purity is one that encourages persons to live your best life without compromise and honouring God at the same time.

Drawing inspiration from the saying, ‘God doesn’t allow you to do anything that he doesn’t take you through,’ this public figure explores the transformative power of submission to God’s will.
When it comes to achieving goals and plans and all these things, just don’t write the list and decide to pursue but we first have to submit what we want to do to God. We often pray, ‘Thy will be done,’ but in order for God’s will to be truly manifest, then we have to submit to his will. It is never about what we want, but it is always about what he wants. So, our will must line up with the will of God, and that is what this book is about. When we talk about submission, it means that we daily have to decrease that he might increase within us. So, this book is one to help persons navigate a path that would help them to live a transformed life of wisdom, wealth, and abundance embedded in their submission to God, the creator of all things.

To this end, Alicia encourages aspiring writers to pursue their calling with determination, despite challenges.
To any person who has the desire to write and you know that it is something God has given you to do, is to do it.
