Khadeja Ramsammy, a bright and determined student from Cumberland Primary School, has made her region proud by becoming the top performer for Region Six in this year’s National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA).
With an impressive score of 501.41, Ramsammy has secured a coveted spot at Queen’s College, her dream school.
ACHIEVING EXCELLENCE: THE JOURNEY TO SUCCESS
During an interview with Things Guyana, Khadeja expressed her satisfaction with her results, saying:
I am pleased with my results, and I am happy I didn’t disappoint anyone.
Her confidence and dedication have clearly paid off, leading her to the top of her region.
But she was not surprised by her school assignment, as Queen’s College was her top choice and the institution she had always aspired to attend.
She attributed her success to a well-rounded approach to exam preparation, emphasising the importance of balance.
I didn’t really study much; I went to school, I used to exercise very often, I didn’t do too much of one thing like studying all the time.
THE SECRET TO SUCCESS: BALANCE AND ROUTINE
This Berbician’s approach to achieving such remarkable results involved maintaining a healthy routine and balance in her life. She believes that focusing solely on academics is not the key to success. Instead, she advocates for a balanced lifestyle that includes regular exercise and a structured study routine.
Have a healthy routine, stick to it, and have balance. If you have any questions, ask your teachers and ensure that the questions are answered.
Her practical advice underscores the importance of seeking help when needed and maintaining a steady, manageable study schedule.
ACKNOWLEDGING SUPPORT AND GRATITUDE
Khadeja’s success story is also a testament to the support she received from her family and teachers.
I would like to thank God; my parents, they played the biggest support; all my teachers and everybody who helped me and motivated me.
