One of the most critical parts of cooking is how you season your food. You can have a fantastic dish prepared, but having meat that is not correctly seasoned can make a big difference in how your meal tastes.
For some people, salt and pepper, along with spices, are not more than enough. Besides, they think that they need more than just those two things.
But wanting more into their pots led to a mother and her two daughters launching their own business under the name, “Triple S Miracle Seasoning.” The Triple S stands for Sharon Yaw, the mother, and her two daughters, Shenice and Shamayah.
According to Sharon, she started the business after receiving compliments from her friends and family on the flavour of her food, which she attributes to her homemade seasoning.
She stated that after receiving these compliments, she had gotten the encouragement to start up a business. Her business was then born in March 2020.
My customers are always excited to support my business, and they provide recommendations on what other new products I can explore to meet their needs. They also purchase large quantities to take for their relatives in the United States.
She further added that they want to create a family legacy that will last for generations. Besides, the entrepreneurs want to use their business as a catalyst for job creation for youths.
Shenice revealed that their products are organic and that they decided to move in this direction because organic products are very beneficial to one’s life.
All of our ingredients are natural and organic, and why our seasoning is different is because we put both turmeric and ginger inside. Most people do not do that. It has no additives or preservatives. Our business is about promoting a healthy lifestyle and helping people to eat clean.
Shenice added that she designs the business logo and is hoping to have their products on the shelves of every supermarket throughout the length and breadth of Guyana.
We did reach out to some supermarkets. We are working around the clock to have everything done. We have already had quality control testing, and so on. We are in it for the long run and for the benefit of our family and Guyana.
Like any other business, the trio disclosed that one of the challenges they face is the inclement weather.
During the rainy season, we were not getting eschalot and celery. And when we were able to source them, the prices were costly. We have somebody that supplies us with the ingredients. But we have since started a garden where we plant some eschalot and broadleaf time.
Nevertheless, her advice to persons looking to launch their business is not to give up and trust the business process. She said, with this, you will make it.
