ExxonMobil’s 3rd proposed development at the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana is targeting 180,000 to 220,000 barrels of oil per day, pending government approvals.
During the early stage of production operations, the project is anticipated to produce an average of approximately 5,700,000 to 6,600,000 barrels of crude oil per month. However, these estimates are preliminary and are subject to change.
The Payara Development will see approximately 35-45 wells being drilled from 10 subsea drill centres, consisting of a combination of producers and injectors to support oil production.
The potential concept involves a 3rd Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel and related subsea equipment, umbilicals, risers, and flowlines. The concept is similar to the Liza Phase 1 and 2 projects, which are expected to move into production in 2020 and 2022, respectively.
The Payara FPSO will be a VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) size floating facility with double hull protection, with approximate dimensions of 340m long by 60m wide by 33m deep (1,115 ft long by 197 ft wide by 108 ft deep), and will be moored on location. The Payara FPSO will be moored approximately 207 km (128 miles) offshore.
The project will utilize onshore infrastructure, including shore bases, warehouses, storage and pipe yards, fabrication facilities, fuel supply facilities, and waste management facilities in Guyana.
Such infrastructure will be used to support the drilling, installation, production operations, and decommissioning stages of the project.
