1. Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC)

The first KFC outlet in Guyana was opened on the 26th April, 1994 at the busy downtown location at Stabroek. This outlet was then closed in August, 2013 for maintenance and all other branches were completely shut in 2014. KFC then reopened on the 23rd October, 2016 on Hincks Street, Georgetown. This was a joy to many Guyanese since dozens of people from all over the country flocked the outlet for finger lickin’ good KFC! On the 13th August, 2017 a second outlet was opened at Eping Avenue and Vlissengen Road, Georgetown. This restaurant boasts of a drive-thru and there is another outlet on Regent Street.

Original chicken, spicy chicken, the famous zinger (burger), wraps, a variety of finger foods, including crispy chicken strips and hot wings, popcorn chicken and chicken nuggets. Side dishes often include French fries, coleslaw, beans, corn on the cob, mashed potato, wedges, mac and cheese and biscuit. Sauces includes: honey BBQ, honey mustard, sweet n’ tangy, grape jelly, ketchup, pepper, etc.
2. Churches Chicken
Churches Chicken came to Guyana in 2006 and it can be found at a lot of places.

4. Pizza Hut
Like KFC, Pizza Hut has been around for a long time in Guyana. It is loved and enjoyed by many. On the 12th October, 2016, Pizza Hut opened its third outlet at the Giftland Mall and on the 3rd October, 2017, they opened their fourth outlet at Buddy’s.

5. Burger King
The first Burger King was opened on the 18th December, 2017. This was an excitement for many Guyanese; they flocked the entrance when it was officially opened. It was announced that the company will, very soon, be opening another Burger King outlet at the Giftland Mall.

- Burger King is located at the corner of Camp and Regent Street.
- The Opening Hours is from 11:am to 10:00pm.
Menu Options
Burgers: original chicken sandwich, chicken big king, crispy chicken BBQ, chicken parmesan, big fish sandwich, whopper. They also have fries, chicken nuggets, onion rings and dessert like ice cream, Hershey’s pie, apple pie and shakes.
International Fast Food Options in Guyana
These are all excellent choices of international fast food options in Guyana. Some have been around for years while some were recently opened; Guyanese enjoy eating from all five of these places.
